The Japanese cuisine has different types of food such as rice dishes, seafood, noodle, nabe, meat, soybean, yoshoku dishes and others. According to “PopularDishes” article, rice dishes are the most important food in Japan. Some kinds of rice dishes are: Ricebowl, Sushi, Donburi, Rice Balls (Onigiri), kare Raisu (Curry Rice), Fried Rice (Chahon), Chazuke (Ochazuke) and Kayu. Another type of food is Seafood. It is prepared and eaten in many different ways for example; raw, dried, boiled, grilled, deep fried or steamed. The same article mentions that there is also Sashimi and Yakizakana which are seafood dishes. Also, Noodle Dishes are popular in Japan. Noodle is served hot or cold depending on the weather. Japaneses can find noodle restaurants and noodle stands along train platforms. Some noodle dishes are Soba, Udon, Ramen, Somen and Yakisoba. Moreover, people can find a Nabe dish that is famous in cold winter months. This dish is prepared in a hot pot, usually at the table. Some ingredients of Nabe or Hot Pot dishes are vegetables like negi (Japanese leek) and hakusai (Chinese cabbage), mushrooms, seafood or meat but it depends on the way the person wants to eat it. There are different Nabe or hot pot dishes such as; Oden, Sukiyaki, Shabu Shabu, Chanko Nabe. Further, in Japan there are various meals with meat for example Yakitori, Tonkatsu, Yakiniku, Nikujaga and Teppanyaki that Japanese enjoy. Soybean meals have ingredients like tofu, natto, mis and others, which are important for preparing soybeans dishes. Hiyayakko, Yudofu, Agedashidofu and Miso soup are types of Soybeans meals. In Japan, people can find Yoshoku Dishes that are huge meals. For instance, Korokke, Omuraisu, Hayashi Raisu and Hambagu are some dishes that people find in these huge meals. In summary, in Japan there are a huge variety of meals, some are popular than others but Japanese people enjoy eating all types of food whether it is raw, dried, boiled, grilled, deep fried or steamed.
